Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of all members of the Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources (KIGAM) and the Geological Society of Korea (GSK), we are delighted and honored to host the 37th International Geological Congress in Busan, Republic of Korea, in 2024.
KIGAM is a unique government-funded geoscience research institution which strives to secure a stable supply of energy and mineral resources, preserve the geological environment and develop scientific technologies based on the field of geoscience for Korea’s industrial development and for national land security purposes.
GSK is Korea’s academic society and professional body for geology. GSK’s main objectives include academic research on basic and applied geology and the distribution of geological technology to aid in the advancement of the field both domestically and abroad.
Korean geological communities are committed to constructive collaboration with IUGS and would like to have the opportunity to share achievements and insights together with distinguished colleagues from a broad range of geological subspecialties in a location of geological significance in Asia.
